Wedding photographer London Wimbledon
Being a wedding photographer in London was always on my mind and on my to do list. I love London. I used to live there several years ago, and I even published a book about London. (a little black and white photography book I’m still to this day proud of).
I met Sarah & Simon last year in the South west of England where Sarah was one of the bridesmaids in a beautiful Cornwall wedding I photographed. Even on that day I have noticed that besides the bride and groom, they were the smiliest couple there. Fast forward half a year and they contacted me to photograph their wedding at Wimbledon Park Golf Club. I got very excited, I knew this would be a fantastic day with amazing people and great atmosphere. The wedding didn’t disappoint. Sarah and Simon said their vows in a beautiful church near Wimbledon Common, and after the church ceremony everyone walked over to the nearby Golf Club where they spent the rest of the evening. I’d say this venue is perfect for weddings. It has a nice area for the dinner, an other area on the ground floor for the wedding party and a terrace with a superb view over the golf course and a pretty lake. It was a quite warm sunny day so most of the wedding guests were hanging out on the terrace pretty much all evening giving me great opportunities and location for taking photos of all the friends and family.
Wedding portraits at a golf course: Around sunset we went for a short stroll around the golf course and the lake for some wedding portraits. If timing and location is ideal, 20 minutes is all you need for some great images. Congratulations for these two!
