Villa Bologna Wedding Photography, Malta
Villa Bologna in Attard is probably one the most beautiful wedding venues in Malta. I’m lucky enough to have shot several weddings there and I’m always happy to go back there.
Whether it is a big or a small intimate wedding, it can accommodate both very well by creating the appropriate space for either. Villa Bologna is an 18th-century baroque country villa which offers an amazing and romantic backdrop for a wedding ceremony as well as a reception.
The gardens are of an Italian baroque design and feature fountains, ponds, Nymphaea, pillars and cobbled pathways. These gardens are also very lush and full of fruit trees and other exotic trees and plants which create shade on summer days. The beautiful cobbled area next to the main building is perfect for hosting a reception and as we are talking about Malta, you really don’t have to worry about the weather.
Michelle and Stefan’s wedding in Villa Bologna was something they dreamed of for years. Michelle’s parents moved to Malta from England and their Maltese home was the perfect venue for the pre-wedding get together with all the guests coming from abroad.
Like many of the weddings I photograph, this wedding had a true and wonderful international vibe. Michelle is English and Stefan is German but both live in Boston, therefore their guests were literally from all over the world and this always makes a wedding even more special as it becomes an even bigger celebration of family and friends.
