Olive Gardens Wedding Photography |Rachael & Andris
When Rachael contacted me to tell me that they are planning their wedding in Olive Gardens in Mdina and they would like me to be their wedding photographer, I was very happy for obvious reasons.
One, being a destination wedding photographer and to travel and document someone’s love story in a beautiful location is not only a very special feeling but an honour.
Two, I love Malta. My wife is a Maltese. Though we live in Budapest, we spend quite some time there. I know Malta quite well, the not so well known, hidden spots, so I could suggest some amazing scenery to Rachael and Andris.
Rachael is from Ireland and Andris is Latvian, but they live in Australia. So how on earth did they choose Malta then?
Well, they love travelling and wanted somewhere with nice weather and closer for their families then Australia. Their wedding day in Olive Gardens Mdina was beautiful. This is a superb venue with a great view of Mdina, and it’s especially beautiful at night when it is all lit up (if you are in the search for any wedding venues in Malta, this is a great choice).
Due to some heavy downpour though we had to do some minor changes to the schedule but all these just added some more excitement to their memorable day. We have decided beforehand that the following day we would go out and explore one of the most beautiful coastal areas in Malta, Mtahleb. The rocks and the view over the sea from above are magical. This is where we took some timeless portraits of them in the setting sun.
